Malaysia Melaka Gateway:

The middle section of the Straits of Malacca is located in Malacca between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, less than 150 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur. With the development of international shipping and the development of infrastructure construction of “The Belt and Road Initiative”, it is necessary to build a deep-water terminal that can meet the needs of large cargo ships at the nearby Melaka Gateway as the shortage of the Singapore port begins to become apparent.

The MELAKA GATEWAY giant comprehensive development plan, invested RM 8 billion, was built by Power Construction Corporation of China. The groundbreaking ceremony for the deep water supply terminal at Melaka Gateway in Malaysia was held in Malacca on October 19. It is expected to be completed in 2025 and will become a new international tourist attraction.

The Melaka Gateway project is strategically located in the Straits of Malacca. It consists of 3 man-made islands and a natural island. It covers an area of 1,366 acres and has a total investment of RM80 billion.

According to the plan, the first island will build tourism, cultural heritage and entertainment areas;
The second island will be built into a logistics center, finance, commerce, supply and high-tech industrial zones;
The third island is the integrated deep water terminal and high-tech marine industrial park; The fourth island is the dock and waterfront industrial area.
